What You’ll Do:
- Strategically approach test automation to enhance quality within your team and across the organization.
- Verify component, system integration, and application-level features to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance meet quality standards.
- Automate testing processes for faster execution, reproducibility, scalability, and clear reporting.
- Develop elegant, robust, and dependable solutions to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Review technical design documents and collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate testability into plans and strategies.
- Create reliable tools, frameworks, and environments that benefit both you and your peers.
- Contribute to the development of existing tools, frameworks, and solutions.
- Improve automated test coverage.
- Accept and provide feedback professionally and respectfully.
- Work with UI engineering to identify root causes of issues and improve automation quality to prevent recurrence.
- Build and maintain test infrastructure, frameworks, and packages for automation implementation.
- Take ownership and responsibility for deliverables.
What You’ll Need:
- A computer science background or equivalent experience (including programming styles, data structures, and algorithms) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- A passion for creating reliable solutions that others can depend on.
- Proven ability to write high-quality code, with proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python being particularly valuable.
- Experience designing and developing efficient test strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated success in developing automated test cases, improving test coverage, and reducing test time.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Windows Performance Analyzer, or xperf.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively within a globally distributed team.
- Experience in writing and executing test plans.
- Ability to document technical requirements clearly.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and object-oriented programming concepts.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Comfort working with diverse stakeholders.
- A strong advocate for the user experience and quality.
- A pragmatic approach, balancing perfection with prioritizing important issues.
- Experience testing web UIs.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with Jira and XRay.
- Experience working in remote-first environments with global teams.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS products.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity or productivity applications.
